The worst kind of AI slop is AI slop about AI: all these techbros constantly discussing new hot agent without even trying it just because hype brings engagement. Mostly because 90% of their audience is in extreme FOMO and really worried about their future.

Wow, people at Palantir started to think they work for baddies, just about time

Palantir Defends Work With ICE to Staff Following Killing of Alex Pretti
“In my opinion ICE are the bad guys. I am not proud that the company I enjoy so much working for is part of this,” one worker wrote on Slack.

one more post on LinkedIn about how Claude Code is amazing/worthless that totally misses the point of what the actual fuck to do with these tools and I'm gonna do something. Like, write another post about Claude Code, how it's worse/better than copilot cli (same shit imho) and totally miss the point

As everyone else, I tried the no IDE way of coding, when you orchestrate an army of agents. And yeah it works (I still can’t get rid of vs code, but it’s mostly to control), but only when you know really well what you want to do and how.

For example, if you’ve built something like that before

Made a website for my band with agents like someone who doesn’t know a lot about how to use them, just gave it a go

Here are some thoughts. Doesn’t help if you’re new to development or doing something unfamiliar, saves time massively otherwise.

Metroid 4 is just Zelda, and it’s amazing. It even has shrines!

Seems like the new Digg is dead. Don’t know why they even bothered to make it, feels just like reddit, but without people

I love Pluribus mostly because of how polarising it is. Some folk see Carol as true evil, I’ve seen comparisons to Putin (and Others are the free world or technological progress), some are sympathetic and treat Others like a parasite (I’m in this camp). The truth is probably somewhere in the middle

No sorry I don’t want AI to book a hotel for me. Holidays are rare, and I’m not giving away an opportunity to read a one-star comment that says “OMG my luggage was taken to the room by the receptionist, they don’t even have bell boys!!!” about a derelict resort (30 gbp night) on a remote Thai island

One of the most inhumane jobs in media is so called news monitoring. You sit in front of numerous newswires and try to fish out of this chaos something relevant for your outlet. It’s easy to outsource it to
AI, but looks like nobody actually did it!

So that’s what I’m building now

If somebody told me 20 years ago that my band would have a record deal with small but beloved Londob indie label… like, wow.

This whole Starmer-Farage fuckery reminds me of Clinton-Trump elections, and Starmer’s ‘they’re racists’ rhetoric is literally Hillary’s deplorables (one of the reasons why she lost). But fortunately Britain isn’t the States, there are no GE in sight, and Farage is just a poundland Trump

the funniest thing about British politics nowadays is that nobody cares about what actually happens with migration. As soon as Labour understand that they don't have to fix real issues cause there's not a lot to fix, and will treat it as a PR competition, they have a chance to win
