the cool thing about being unemployed is that i am genuinely getting back in touch with my love of gamedev and working on games, and actually working on something i care about and find creatively fulfilling, but also i don't have money to pay people to help me with assets i want :(

people still try to sell coding agents as massively independent super intelligent things, when the only way ive gotten them to work is writing up detailed documentation for them on how to use a certain system or API, and then providing very explicit instructions for any tasks in that area

ive considered getting a countertop reverse osmosis water filter just to reduce how hard our water is, because it leaves horrid deposits on EVERYTHING, but the problem with looking for these units is that the reviews are like "removes WOKE FLUORIDE" or "saves us money on chiropractor bills 🥰" etc

ive been tearing through some basic prototyping and implementation tasks in my little UE5 project, and it's making me feel like a god. like oh shit yeah i don't need to worry about if the engine supports this or can do what i need, i can just make it happen lol
