With the Porsche 718 retiring as defending four-time champion, there's room at the top for something new on this year's Car List. Is this the year a vaguely sensible, affordable car rises to number one? (Spoiler alert: no)
This is the extended version, which I hadn't seen before, but it seems to enhance the point made in the regular advert that Citroen have built a car that is incredibly easy to steal

I said I wouldn't comment much on this run of #onlyconnect specials, but tonight's (repeat) edition did contain a snatch of the Lightning Seeds' 1995 hit Marvellous, the two-minute instrumental intro to which was used to brilliant effect by one Ian Wood on Radio WM's cult Sunday Night Party...

Two thoughts occurred following tonight's #onlyconnect Christmas Special (spoiler alerts apply!). The first, following a Wall link, was that there are now enough Chasers to make up two OC teams, perhaps led by a series winner each. How about it for a charity special @vcorenmitchell.bsky.social ?

Shocked to hear of the passing of Greg Biffle, who by odd coincidence was the winner of the first NASCAR race I saw on British TV (Channel 5) in the Winter Heat Series, and the first NASCAR Championship shown by the same channel (2002 Busch Series)

There were a couple more obvious motorsport connections in tonight's #onlyconnect (the second of which was named after the person he's been merged with, fact fans), but I thought I'd go all in with Hell in Norway. It's got rallycross, so it can't be all bad

As well as the World Championship double, this is the first year ending in a 5 that McLaren have made it through without having to make any changes to their driver line-up #uselessfacts
