Students and staff enjoyed a fantastic Christmas lunch today - slow roasted turkey or vegetable wellington served with all the festive trimmings followed by Christmas yule cake. We're all stuffed now! A big thank you to our catering providers Harrison.

This week, we welcomed a guest speaker from the Bank Of England to talk to SFH6 students about his career, the role of the BoE, money and quantitative easing - sadly no investment tips though! Great attendance, particularly from our economics and business students - and some very positive feedback.

What a fantastic Open Evening! From the international cafe in our MFL department to a heart dissection in the Biology lab, there were so many wonderful displays and activities on show! A big thank you to all staff and students who were there helping to show off FHS at its best.

It looks like our Year 12 Physics students had a great trip to Geneva - visiting the Large Hadron Collider at CERN as well as the Red Cross Museum and History of Science Museum. They also squeezed in some chocolate tasting and sunbathing on the shores of the lake! #schooltrip

Results of the UK Maths Trust Junior Challenge are in! Nine gold certificates, 17 silver certificates and 36 bronze certificates plus a record number of students qualifying for the Junior Kangaroo! And one Y8 student who has qualified for the Junior Olympiad! Huge well done, boys!
