I thought I’d handled burnout before, but recent months proved me wrong. I got stuck in a cycle of working and sleeping, feeling like I wasn’t moving forward and my mental health was crumbling. I stepped back, reassessed, and started making healthier choices. It’s slow, but I’m moving again.

I'm sad to share that I have cancelled the game that I have been working on for the last couple of years. Progress had completely stalled and I felt like the game had no direction or point of view.

I think the worst part about going through an uncertain layoff period is that every time you open social media you are reminded that you literally have no idea if you'll have a job in a few weeks.
