Oh I forgot another part : they kept editing me to say “the horrendous attacks of 9/11” when I’m not talking about 9-11 I’m talking about the post 9-11 United States.

Like anytime a Muslim says 9-11 they have to immediately apologize.

Friends— here it is. Updated & expanded thanks to the space afforded to me in the @therumpus.net & the guidance of the brilliant @roxanegay.bsky.social’s edits. The win centers Muslims humanity — but what does that mean in a country that rejects that?

Just finished Ep. 10 of Here Comes Tomorrow, and episode guest @foeyeahboi.bsky.social helped me see Dr. Doom (the episode’s secondary subject) in a new and significantly more appreciative light.

I love finding more things to enjoy in comics.😊
Heard “…being against imperialism doesn’t necessarily mean they like brown people” —and flashed to the leftists who uncritically cheered the demise of USAID.

But this excellent episode of Here Comes Tomorrow is about NEW X-MEN going full post-9/11 Islamophobia:
Welp.

You knew it was coming.

We finally had to discuss the absolute worst issue of Grant Morrison's NEW X-MEN run: issue #133, "Dust"

Luckily, our episode is GREAT, because our guest, @foeyeahboi.bsky.social is frickin' brilliant and took everyone to school

i normally don’t do pencil before inks but in some cases, i do , so what i end up looks human in the end or when i need lines or a pattern and i don’t see any wiggle room for that line going in the wrong direction

I'm really proud of my first book, and I think you'd enjoy it, even if you don't care about comics

Also, y'all have to buy out the stock of paperbacks with my deadname on them, so they can finally start printing the new deluxe edition with my real name (and deluxe bonus material):
True Believer: The Rise and Fall of Stan Lee — Josephine Riesman // Writer
Josephine Riesman's debut book recounts and analyzes the thrilling, tragic, and untold story of Marvel Comics maven Stan Lee.
