I love coming on here after a long day to see this love for Ragman. “Jewish Spawn” is perfect. I’ve been wanting to do a kabalistic take with numerical magic combined with PTSD but really focus on the history of the rags and the responsibility / curse it takes the wear them.

Page with four one-panel cartoons in two pairs. First pair: Snakes at a dinner table. Caption “Lucky thing I learned to make peanut butter sandwiches or we woulda starved to death by now.” Dennis and friend walking behind Dennis’ mom eating sandwiches. Caption “Oh brother! … Not hamsters again!” The Far Side and Dennis the Menace used to be side by side in the Dayton Daily News. One day, back in August of 1981, someone "accidentally" switched their captions. What's most embarrassing about this is how immensely improved both cartoons turned out to be. Second pair: Cave people at a crystal ball. Caption “If I get as big as Dad, won't my skin be too TIGHT?” Dennis’ family at dinner table. Caption “I see your little, petrified skull . labeled and resting on a shelf somewhere.” Not long after, it happened again. The Far Side's new caption is just sort of nonsensical, but I think Dennis the Menace turned out rather interesting. I have only realized just now by checking my library account that a White Widow prose Marvel young adult book is out, written by @sharpegirl.bsky.social. I wish the marketing was better for Marvel’s prose books. At least I have it on hold and I should be able to pick it up tomorrow!
