It looks edited. It’s not. A slight jarring knock of the elbow taking a photo out the car window. This is what you get. Stumbling blocks of pixels piled high upon towers of lights. The cityscape mixed, remixed and smashed upon the dark hedges of what were once trees but, now smudged and scumbled dark foreground growths. The sky has reverb from the coloured radiation left over by the sun, although its usually not visible. The fogged depths of the sky torn from canvas and chucked - microwaved- by the illuminating eye of the camera. But it could just be the distortion of the phone. It was a knock of the elbow after all.

A single streetlight illuminates the standing dominoes of power poles. A fence barrs the way to the other residences. Shrubs and other greenery hang their trimmed heads over the garden walls. No one is standing outside in this hour. Black stones seated on a bed of cement in rows lined up uniformly. Bouquets and ring garlands gifted to the forgotten and remembered alike. Past this foreground, the haze of mist threatens the houses, trees and hills.

NieR Music Concert: The Memories of Puppets-Key Art 2B sits on massive piano keys. Reminiscent to the style of The Copied City in Nier Automata, some of the keys are dissected and disassembled into white blocks and flat hanging rectangles in the air. The difference in scale is immediately notable. lieR: Automata- Personal Artwork (95) One of the ideas Akihiko Yoshida had for 9's clothing was a sailor suit. I liked the idea so much that I tried drawing it for myself. A portrait of 9S. Flowers sit still beside him in a vase. 2B playing the piano. Took these and forgot during the week. I took a walk down to the harbour and used a well-known trail. It was overcast and chilly in the afternoon.
