The Canucks are benefiting a lot from the NHL’s point system.

Foote might be the worst coach in the 2000s at the NHL level, management and ownership seems pretty toxic (they haven’t even gotten their AHL players their championship rings yet), vibes are awful.

the only saving grace with the Canucks being awful and juiceless is that maybe, just maybe, it convinces Aquilini to sell off more than he normally would out of pure emotion and spite

Honestly their drafting process (who’ve they taken at the time) has been at least league average if not above. Their development has been horrific and a big reason why they’re in this spot.

I still strongly feel that if ownership and the then GM wanted to challenge them on it, they could’ve and the league would’ve backed down.
