Holy moly! Thank you very much for the likes on my lil #Gargoyles group. I very much intend to draw them some more this year. I am craving that nostalgia like honey and vanilla.

I’ll be fleshing them out some more too, so I can take part in those #OC questions and challenges one day :D

I also finished this guy - bsky.app/profile/flic... - too. I might be breaking the show's rules a but by putting him in modern-era clothing, but meh, this guy is a comfort character xD I have made his lore fit into the rules *that I am aware of* but taken a liberty. Or two. #Gargoyles
Fan character based on Disney's Gargoyles. Bershe is a tall muscular thickset gargoyle who demonstrates chimerism. In the world of Gargoyles, this means he can express differing features across the body. He is predominantly a coffee-brown colour, except for his right arm, shoulder and wing, and his right lower leg and base of tail, which are all a dark stony blue instead. His face is asymetrical with differen horns and eye-brow ridges. His tail ends in a spiked club. He is wearing stonewashed jeans with holes at the knees and some colourful embroided patches applied. He is also wearing a simple white sleevless t shirt / vest.

Oooh, so since my last post was one of my #Gargoyles fan characters, I'm gonna post some more :3 I remember saying my Art Fight plans had changed but I still somehow made references for some London clan members. Elspeth, Lorna, and Millie :)
Character based on Disney's Gargoyles (created by Greg Weisman), specifically the London clan where the gargoyles are usually based on heraldic animals. Elspeth is a dormouse-inspired gargoyle in a soft chocolate brown colour with piebald markings on her face (as a mask) and on her tummy. She possesses the gnawing teeth of a mouse but also has small canine fangs that make her a gargoyle. Elspeth is in an energetic pose with one arm lifted in greeting. Wings out-stretched as if mid-flight. She wears a tan camisole top and orange cropped shorts. Fan character based on Disney's Gargoyles (created by Greg Weisman), specifically the London clan where the gargoyles were usually based on heraldic animals. Lorna is a highland cow with large feathery wings inspired by a red kite. Lorna is thickset and muscular. She has a lot of orange-red hair that almost becomes a mane, she wears it in braids and partially tied back. She is stood in a self-assured lean and has one arm lifted with her hand in a rude gesture to some unseen victim. She is wearing a green and brown ensemble that is more reminiscient of leather armour found in D&D games. Fan character based on Disney's Gargoyles (created by Greg Weisman), specifically the London clan where the gargoyles are usually based on heraldic animals. Millie is based on a heritage sheep, with large spiralled horns and very thick fur around the head and covering the usually reptilian gargoyle tail. She is curvy and big bodied. Her feathery wings are based on those of a barn owl. Her pose is mid-flight as if she is descending to land somewhere.

Anyways, huge personal milestone - drew my own Gargoyles fan character today and holy moly it looks okay! Looks close to the show style, which is something I've always wanted to do ;^; I know its a simple goal but it was mine.

I kinda felt a little disappointed in my art summary this year. In my mind, it felt like I'd done so much more finished work.

BUT

I still *feel* like there's been some improvements just brewing in the background, things I see in my sketches and doodles and not my finished work. #ArtSummary2024

So apparently I spent 5hrs on this in Procreate...and I still don't like it, lol. I compare it too much to using CSP on a computer, where I have all my fave brushes and know how to do everything. I am not so well versed in procreate xD #digitalArt #DnD #Ranger #archer #dragonborn

This might seem like a really obvious thing but, as a perpetual people pleaser, it has taken me a while to get to this realistion. I have no control over whether people like my art or not. It won't be everyone's cup of tea. But it's mine. I enjoy drawing 'my way', and that is how it should be :3
