Retired Geordie, Newcastle United fan, likes Border Terriers, steam trains and buses.
On dear, the BBC Media Centre thinks the Tanfield Railway is in Northumberland. It would be helpful if they could get the location right when promoting their programmes.

Took a trip on the Northumberland Line yesterday. The return train from Newcastle to Ashington was quite full boding well for when all stations are open. It’s certainly good for getting shots of familiar landmarks from different angles.

Dear BlueSkyers. Sadly I'm getting many reports of scammers pretending to be me here, incl messaging people with 'investments' . Pls share/help me spread word that, as you know, THIS IS MY ONLY BLUE SKY account (proved as my handle is an official MoneySavingExpert one). All others are scams

If that disgusting racist and grifting liar Nigel Farage shouldn't have been on Question Time even once, nevermind 38 times.

Give this a Like, or better yet a RP.

A Newcastle upon Tyne stalwart closed yesterday, JG Windows located in the Central Arcade. Sellers of musical instruments, sheet and recorded music since 1909, they couldn’t compete in this digital age.

I was a regular visitor to Lymm, Cheshire, from 1959 to 2019. My uncle married a lady from Lymm. Loved the village, mainly for its choice of ales in the pubs but also for the Bridgwater canal.
