oh yeah forgot to mention: the heal ball, too, was an accident
i intended to use a premier ball because they're cool (wasnt thinking of what fit colour-wise) but i accidentally overshot the pokeball menu to heal balls instead, as i had an alpha sharpedo and like 3 carvanha hunting me down

one of the moves flareon can learn in Z-A is flame wheel, which is a first for them in the franchise, as no other game had it in their learnset
and i find the idea of flareon using it kinda raw im ngl (i dont know the competitive usefulness this has i just like the visual of flareon using it)

got my first Z-A shiny, one i was gonna do in scarlet but figured i’d wait till Z-A since it was close. used the “bench method” it was kind of bizarre
her name is Mint but it would’ve worked better if i found her as a noibat first…..

legends Z-A is fun as hell so far, i've been playing it nonstop since i got it ~2 days ago
but i will admit. its the first pokemon game to make me box my starter midway through the main story. i really like totodile so i picked them. but i've never clicked with feraligatr & the mega did not help.

lookin at leaked party/pokedex portraits from Z-A, it seems like they fixed shiny mega lucario's yellow fur to make it a lot closer to the usual highlighter-ish yellow the line usually has instead of the dirtied green-yellow it had, which im glad
but i think they did the opposite on riolu???? 😭
