I have tried at least 4 times to see SCOWL in Portland and everything from a missed bus to a literal stroke has kept me from doing so.

This beautiful Banyan tree is gone. So large and sprawling, a staple of my memory when I would see my family on Maui. Gone. It hurts. Lahaina town will never be the same.

Seeing yt folks on the other site talking about how Maui is a sacred place for them (not listening to locals about not visiting) and how they're so devastated.
They do not give a shit about Maui other than it being a vacation spot.
