(Do I love this mechanism of responding to MAGA gerrymandering? Not particularly, to be honest. But it is more honest and democratic than what Republicans did in Texas. I *do* love that Democrats actually DID something. And I love that electing a Democrat in my district is now possible.)

I am VERY frustrated with coworkers who embrace generative AI as a fun toy.
It is not a toy. It is a threat.
It threatens learning, creativity, the environment, democracy, and the working and middle classes. It benefits the already-rich and powerful by accelerating the concentration of resources.

E-bike's flat was probably a manufacturing defect. It's repaired.
Car will be at the dealer for a week, but the upside is that it's (miraculously) covered by warranty and I have a loaner!

Hmmm. Today’s Amazon Web Services (AWS) outage makes me think maybe *it is* a bad idea to allow a shrinking number of companies to own a growing percentage of the market, especially with critical infrastructure.
