I recently decided to revisit and redesign an old tattoo, and am documenting in my blog how the process is teaching me about death, rebirth, inconvenient truths, and what meaningful growth & change often requires.

Perfectionism Is Gumming Up My Keyboard — Firebird Rise
What an old tattoo is revealing to me about shame, "getting it right", fear and growth.

Voters got what they asked for, and things are changing alright. But is it towards a world that we actually want to live in?

Creating pain, chaos and fear is not leadership. In virtually every environment I’ve ever worked, we called that incompetence.

Send a message to giant companies ripping us off. On Feb. 28, don't shop online, in big box stores, no Amazon, no Walmart, no Best Buy, fast food nor gas. Just one day will send a powerful message. Think they'll miss our DEI dollars? Don't spend. Then let them know why.

It’s time to decide, America. Are we going to be an example? Or are we going to be a warning?

We should not be cutting health care for working families to deliver massive tax breaks for billionaires.

Repost if you agree.

We are melting phone lines. GOP senator Lisa Murkowski admits call volume to Congress is 40 times above normal.

The Senate will vote on Tulsi Gabbard’s nomination this week, and we could also see votes on Robert Kennedy Jr. & Kash Patel. Keep calling your senators: www.nixthenoms.com?source=bluesky
Senator Says They Are Getting ‘1,600 Calls a Minute’ Amid Trump-Musk Chaos
A Republican senator has revealed that the Senate is being slammed with “1,600 calls a minute” rather than the typical 40 amid the chaos of Donald Trump’s first three weeks in office. The onslaught ha...

Washingon friends: did you know Senator Cantwell voted to confirm four of Trump’s nominees?

If this doesn’t sit right with you, call her office.

Make no assumptions. Watch the votes. Speak up when their words and actions are out of alignment.

Taking a much needed breather from the doom scrolling to source joy. Remembering what’s worth fighting for.

Find the wonder, my friends. Full hearts are formidable warriors.

My god what a view. AND… it squeezed my heart to be the only person on deck drinking the scene in. On a ferry filled to capacity, 95% of passengers remained below deck the entire time. In the car cave, relating with their phones.

Almost nobody SAW THIS.

This ain’t how we were meant to live.

Rosary practice observation: start really talking to the Mother on the regular, and she starts talkin’ back. On my way home just now I discovered the PNW Amma center… after driving past here how many times? And get this: weekly Satsang begins in 5 minutes. No kiddin. Needless to say, I’ll be there.

3 days in and damn if this rosary practice isn’t cracking me wide open. Feels, fears, hopes & dreams for the world as what’s tender and personal becomes universal. Many faces of the Mother showing up: Mary, Amma, Brigid, Boann, Kwan Yin, Kali, Epona. And of course, she who holds the wheel of time.

Whisper of a dream of An Cailleach had me up well before dawn, on my knees and praying my face off. Irish goddess of winter doesn’t play.

Love to my kin in Ireland as you weather the storm. Kindness here in America as we weather ours. Hands on heart. One breath, then another.

In the 1930s, Victor Klemperer and others made the decision to bear witness, knowing that one day history would look in horror at what the Nazis were doing. Bearing witness today is vital. Eyes wide open as one govt agency after next is MAGAfied. Eyes wide open at what is happening in our names.
