We have some wonderful #BirdofParadise flowering (see below!) but now when I look at them I only think of this meme, as growing up in #PapuaNewGuinea I thought the name was due to the drawing on the right. Discovered it was the one on the left only about 2 years ago due to said meme

Omg you should’ve heard the talkback I got the morning it changed. I thought it was just me (before I went to air, trying to navigate it so I could read out the weather for the day), but no. By the time @warwicklong.bsky.social came on for The Country Hour at noon everyone was feral.. & fair enough!
