If Barrow didn't feel far enough away from the rest of the country then a drive out to South Walney makes you feel even more remote. It's a very atmospheric place with lots of nature to enjoy.

Locally, walking up The Gyrn is the ultimate cob web remover. The climb to the top of the hill from the bottom of this track is about 300m straight up and it's a fun challenge walking up it.
