Have finished 'the road' by cormac mc carthy. Fantastic book that begins to click hard around the halfway point written in short bare bones paragraph it ends up being an emotional read despite its lack of flowery writing. Overall good short book

Apparently its rubber souls anniversary today. For my money the most underrated beatles album. Also the first beatles album i listened to so I may be a bit biased but man that shit holds up

I've been listening to Patti Smith's 'Horses' recently and I want to say that I think she's one of THE greatest vocalists. On the basis that nearly 50 years after hearing these songs they can still move me to tears. Yes, it's the ensemble who are amazing, but her vocals are what break me.
