Former and occasional manythings: Professor, Author, Fight Choreographer and Coordinator, Armorer, Actor, Stuntman, Interesting Person. Current Executive Assistant, father, person who does adulting and only complains about it a little.
Getting to spend some time in rehearsal last night (first time in for Intimacy and Fight Choreo for The Moors) was rejuvenating. Good to be able to step back into that theatre teacher role again for a bit, and feel like I still have that to offer. Now back to the insane reality of our country. HOP!

There's an arithmetic that only makes sense if stated goals are pure pretense, whether we're talking bombs taking out a Gaza hospital & killing dozens of civilians in order to maybe take out 1 terrorist, or causing & escalating LA riots to detain 44 people who were here & working without permits...

Apropos of nothing, if anyone in Eugene identifies as LGBTQIA+ or feels more comfortable around the aforementioned than around typical 'gun guys' is looking for armed self defense training and a community, I know some folks getting something going.

So many reminders, from Texas (just brutal) to DC (never ending) to Florida (just pettiness today, that I know of) to elsewhere, about why Pride month matters. About why pride means such a different and vital thing to an oppressed population than it does when it's flaunted by those with privilege.

Well played:
Tariff on Qatar!

Here’s a $400million luxury jet, free to you, only a few strings attached that we can talk about later. Just have to pay import fees.

Tariffs eased on Qatar!

Dumped a whole ton of photos and video of the recent Japan trip on Instagram/FB, for those who are interested. Only so much time I'm willing to put into redundancy across platforms. Also - yay bringing family to protests and seeing that it can be safe and supported! www.instagram.com/fightdesigner/

This St Patrick's Day, we have less rock, more sham. Wish it was the other way around.

Big thanks to NW Fencing Academy for welcoming me last night. Between that and the filmmaking social on Wednesday, that’s probably the most social week I’ve had here in ages.

America was great when school kids helped teachers clean up the erasure? A little Spring cleansing?

When you thought at one point that the meat tenderizer would make a good costume prop if you added a longer handle… but you still use it for those chicken sandwiches. Ah, the life of a fight designer.

This is a hell of a crowd size for a protest at the Treasury Department.

People do not like Elon.
The Treasury Department right now. People are turning out against Musk and DOGE staging a takeover of the Treasury’s payment system. This crowd is big. The whole block is packed. “Lock him up,” everyone yells.

Mass deletion of folders, files, websites, data, and other resources is much less visually striking than a mass book burning, I guess.
