Well, that's terrible news.
If the Bureau can only contact households twice (translates, in most cases, to 1 mailer + 1 knock at the door), the undercount will be horrendous. There's a reason there is broad, bipartisan opposition to this language in the $ bill--including from the business community.
On Wednesday, the GOP-controlled House Appropriations Committee voted 34-28 along party lines to advance a funding bill that calls for excluding people living in the states without legal status from #2030Census results that the 14th Amendment says must include “whole number of persons in each state”

Sad that this has to be my first post here, but the gutting of the FSRDC program is disastrous for demographic research.

BLS is suspending access to its restricted data "for the forseeable future." Applies to projects through the Federal Statistical Research Data Centers & onsite projects with BLS.
