When an artist I liked posts an AI pic because "they thought it would be fun", I don't un-watch them PURELY on principle. I HAVE to unfollow them to save my sanity, cuz I do not need the paranoia in my life of checking my art inboxes and starting up a john-carpenter "Are they human" test every day.

Unknown Reality
A painting of what seems to be the backroom. A door is in the middle, straight, holding to no room, the light of an other place can be seen, a forest. From the door a giant tree go throught it and the light from the ceiling is shining through the branches. A red plastic rope is also coming from it and continue to the back room. The area surrounding the door seems to have brought some foliage and greeneries to the backroom. A character with a top hat and a lamp is investigating, following the plastic rope. The mood is mysterious and a bit eery. Some office doors are closed here and there, in on of them some eyes can be seen.

Tilted perspective of a tiny plane flying over a dark range of mountains. The composition is heavier on the left with snow infiltrating on the right where the odd cubic shapes eventually give way to an expanse of white that stretches to the horizon. The plane is odd in that the engine is mounted behind the fixed wing.

The Knight's Favorite

A wildcard for a medieval-themed tarot (that might or might not happen in the near future) where I had complete artistic freedom for the subject! ✨
So I went with "what if courtly love at the tournament, but make it gay?" 💜

Client: 78 Tarot
Scene at a tournament in the 1300s: A knight in full armor on his horse (only without the helmet, which a page is carrying) rides up to a richly decorated stand of spectators. Subverting the expectation that he'd ask for a "lady's favor", he instead receives said favor from another, younger man who is tying a ribbon around the knight's jousting lance. Ladies look on surprised/shocked/delighted.

DRAGONSDAWN (1987)

This was the first cover in the Dragonriders of Pern series to feature the beloved fire lizards and I really enjoyed painting them. 1/5
A redheaded woman in a yellow jumpsuit emerges from a cave. She stands with arms outstretched in a T shape. A tiny dragon perches on each forearm. She's framed by the entrance of the cave, which is set in a hillside on a small island. Water washes up the sand in front of her. Bare alien trees extend upward from the hillside. The trunks are tan and segmented like bamboo. Some trunks are thicker, combining many thick shoots into their mass. Leafless branches project out sharply. More islands can be seen in distance on the left side of the painting along with two moons hanging in a gold and pastel sky glowing as the sun rises out of view.
