I was not mentally prepared for this. 7.5 inches fell in just a few hours and we had no accumulation before this. It’s pretty rare that we get a snowstorm this big this early in the season if memory serves me correctly. Granted my memory isn’t that great.

Two things: 1) he’s desperate 2) this is a great way to increase inflation. It’s the same thing that happened with the direct payments at beginning of Covid although at that time politicians thought it was the only way to keep the economy afloat and better to overshoot it when unemployment was high.

I wonder how many Americans are interested in having their shopping carts help them with their grocery shopping. Companies are inserting AI into the customer experience at great expense to them. It could pay off or it could alienate some customers. I can see other chains marketing AI-free shopping.

A local coffeehouse in my small town of 20,000 is selling a standard size bag of Peruvian coffee for $20, which they say has gone up recently. Could be price gouging happening on top of tariff price hike just like at height of pandemic. Businesses extracting as much profit as they can get away with.
