Our compact, walkable downtown can only exist because transit allows visitors, residents, and employees to be concentrated in a small geographic footprint that would be physically impossible to serve with private vehicles alone.

Absent additional funding from the state, the proposed cuts to SEPTA service would be devastating to the region's post-pandemic recovery.

It is hard to overstate how catastrophic it would be for Philly and the entire commonwealth if Harrisburg lets SEPTA fail.
50 bus routes eliminated
2 trolleys downgraded to buses
21.5% fare hike
9 PM curfew
20% service reduction on remaining routes

This is an emergency. The City of Philadelphia is investing in SEPTA but we need the General Assembly to step up.

Trump and Musk just fired park rangers and FAA employees across Pennsylvania, including at least 3 in charge of airworthiness and commercial airline safety.

Trump is playing politics with our safety and our wallets.

It’s really important to remember to tie everything Musk and Trump are doing to the GOP and local Reps.

Don’t just say “Trump and Musk” but Republicans as a whole, the Musk-Trump GOP, etc.

The Republican Party is enabling this entire coup/scandal/turmoil. They must own it now and forever.

Great news! President Trump rescinded his order to freeze all federal grants and loans.

Trump’s illegal move would’ve defunded everything from housing vouchers to meals for students and seniors to workforce development and much, much more. (1/2)

Thanks @mikejerrick.bsky.social @alexholleytv.bsky.social for having me on Good Day Philadelphia to discuss the Sixers deciding to remain in South Philly after all.

This is a win for our city, but it confirms that the 76ers weren't engaging in good faith.

One of the leading City Council critics of the 76ers arena proposal in Center City says that the team’s sudden reversal proves the plan should have been subject to greater scrutiny.

Great rundown of PHA plans for the West park towers, an old school public housing complex which the authority decided to renew (instead of demolish): www.inquirer.com/columnists/p...
PHA is trying a new approach to high-rise public housing. This time it just might work.
The dense, new development proposed for Westpark at 44th and Market could create an affordable, 15-minute neighborhood.

We avoided the imminent transit death spiral, but our fight for fully funded public transit isn't over. My constituents disproportionately rely on SEPTA to get to work, school, and other essentials. Too much is on the line to be back in this situation again. (2/3)
