Thank you to the FL Senate's Education Committee for the opportunity to testify on chronic absenteeism. It was great to see this important topic being taken up, be able to share research happening at @UF_COE, and share the floor with innovative district leaders.

Excited to be in New Orleans for the Southern Education Foundation's Issues Forum. Jiyeon Goo and I will be discussing how school discipline systems are responding to student use of artificial intelligence. Big takeaway: discipline policy hasn't caught up to student use of AI.

Always enjoy a meeting at Alachua County Public Schools district office. My grandmother taught elementary school in the building in the 1940s. Had a chance to visit the historic classroom this time.
