hello! I've been writing a lot of oneshots recently—however, one fic I was working on through the end of Nov throughout Dec recently got un-anoned (i actually rewrote the first 3k of this fic twice lol):

🤦♂️ the title is wrong on this one. These are counts per month (the y axes labels are correct). I have made so many graphs of this stuff, trying to find a good way to order and arrange and annotate so that enough interesting info is visible. So mistakes are inevitable. sorry.
BTS ships over time in AO3 public works, looking at all mentions of ships and number of fics that list the ship first (Primo). This plot shows monthly Primo counts for 29 ships from 2016 through 2025. More explanation of individual ship plots here: ao3.org/works/76528861/chapters/201279521

Here Jikook is over performing, NamJin seems to most often be a sideship, the OT7 tag has it's own trajectory over time, and the JK/Reader ship has been flourishing. More individual ship plots here: ao3.org/works/76528861/chapters/201279521

namjin is thought of as a "big ship" because they're tagged in so many fics, but if you look at these (public fic) numbers, namjin has been tagged as a ship in almost 23k fics but only a bit over 9k where they're the first ship, while yoonkook has "only" 14k+ fics but over 10k as the first ship 😲

me missing the first tannie live last night 😔
i finished haunting of hill house! this one goes in the excellent but not "my whole fucking heart" category, mainly because I didn't relate to themes quite as hardcore as i did with rebecca... (although the ending is truly something else).
My end-of-year reading (published books) wrap-up! note that this is just MY silly opinion,,, and if u like something on here thay i didn't—it's all good!!

I want to emphasize that these dudes aren't stupid or unobservant; they're just not used to a type of close read/close watch. I think that's true for a lot of people diving into Heated Rivalry who find Shane and Ilya, esp in e1 and e2, kind of alienating and flat, but then love e3 with Scott and Kip

Now that Heated Rivalry s1 has wrapped up I've been coping by listening to episode recaps by the finest hockey bros in all the land, i.e. What Chaos and Empty Netters, and I am so charmed by these guys, who are diving head-first into a genre they have zero experience with, but also. Also.
