Check out my research on the impact of 9/11 on marriage market of American Muslims featured in the Summer 2025 issue of CentrePiece magazine.
The marriage rate between Muslims and non-Muslims declined after the 9/11 attacks.

Now a great presentation by @farahzadishadi.bsky.social on marriage migration.
Interesting finding: muslims choose to marry abroad not to gain from migration but finding a partner from the same ethnicity and religion.
Check out her work.

Fantastic workshop! Thank you for including my paper!
@farahzadishadi.bsky.social shows that after 9/11, intermarriage rates for American Muslims dropped sharply—driven more by changing preferences among non-Muslim Americans than Muslims themselves.

Interesting paper! The danger of “labeling”!
🚨 New WP Alert! 🚨

In 2010, Denmark launched a controversial policy labeling certain public housing areas as “Ghettos” based on high immigrant populations, crime, and unemployment.

The goal? To change the socio-demographic makeup of these neighborhoods.

Did it work? 🤔 (1/4)
