My honest to goodness favorite part of Rope is the incredibly detailed New York backdrop behind the window that gradually goes from day to night.
Let's scroll through Roku's horror section and see what they have. Ah, yes, West Side Story, with its famous Jets vs the Sharks vs Jason and Freddy story.

But... wait... it was 1974, it wasn't made in black and white because they couldn't afford color stock, it was made to resemble the original movies that... [trails off in disbelief]

I just want to get serious here for a minute and say how important it is for all of to appreciate how lucky we are that we live in a world where limited edition holiday shapes of Reese's and Snickers exist.

I once smoked a marijuana cigarette, which my friends referred to as Mary Jane, and I went on a cross country killing spree shortly afterwards with a girl named Holly.

Roger Ebert said, basically, the whole story exists just to get to this ending. It is, in both the short story and the movie, one of the most incredible and moving works of prose in existence.

“We are so sorry,” said his wife, Mary Liz. “I feel like no one thinks that we're sorry.”

You know why they don't think you're sorry, Mary Fucking Liz! Because you ignored flood zones to make money and are now reopening, you fucking ghoul!

Burn in Hell, monsters.

One of the most hilariously telling things with all of this, especially in comments on Twitter, is how shocked right wingers are that libs aren't rallying around people like Clinton and Summers. They think because they have lockstep loyalty to their leaders, Dems must as well. Absolute idiots.
The emails have Summers reporting to Epstein about his attempts to date a Harvard economics student & to hit on her during a seminar she was giving.

I rewatched THE SENTINEL for the first time in years and using people with facial body abnormalities as the demons from Hell made me feel kinda gross. Like, in Freaks, it's about people in a side show, and they're treated as human beings. In THE SENTINEL, they're used to save on the makeup budget.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor has removed their entire catalog from all music streaming platforms. Well, I've still got functioning CDs so that's good. Honestly surprised they were ever on them to begin with. F♯ A♯ ∞ remains a cherished favorite.
