When podcast folks go 'this may be a shock to you but I was a Nerd when I was younger'.

First, no it's not, but I am ignoring how you're stating it.

Second, GURPS was not a more niche role-playing game - beyond the everything is niche other than D&D argument.

Christ Emily. She was doing so well.

She's obsessed.

Everyone will differ, blah blah, but this episode is a perfect example of what happens when people vanish.

It's funny. It has a good spread of housemates. You can see how they are all part of the experience.

That's because certain numbskulls have gone.

The two trials in a row rule for #ImACelebrity sounds good, if true.

You never know these days, of course.

If #bbuk is teaching me anything these days people have a very wide definition of what constitutes bullying.

Some of it I get some of it is a stretch.

I guess I need to check my exposure to the S&P500 as 40% is the big 5,8,10 whatever who are in the AI circle jerk.

Note, your pension probably includes an index fund exposed to the S&P 500 as it usually gives good growth it's just now concentrated growth.

Rumour is the other 60% is flat

Sad. I have become this is as far as this conversation is going to go without a ticket person.

I feel internal shame.

Yet without it I just become everyone's way of resolving things and it's not scalable..

..so feel the pain.

I do miss the collegiate, high performing consultancy team feel.

Interesting. Apparently the electric grid, railroad expansion, the dot-com boom, and the current AI wave all have similar amazing bubble collapses.

Since I am approaching 55 next year, lite retirement research has sort of accidentally started .

It's interesting. The existential crisis element of it.

I don't have that. Having no job would not impact me in an existential psychological crisis.

It's purely a financial conundrum.

I am so annoyed and frustrated with the BBC situation.

Frustrated with the BBC for a stupid edit that didn't really change the material argument of the documentary.

The fact US craziness is now creating a crisis at an institution we'd be crazy to destroy.

Just so fucking annoyed.

Why am I awake?

Anyway, I don't understand why this is a problem. Didn't the latest Casino Royale reboot Bond back to 007 recruitment anyway?

So the mythologically all the same person had already been reset.

Just, like, do it again. Weird. Is this a fake article?

I tried giving Trigger Point a go but I couldn't get into it. While on paper it has everything I should like I think I've learned the crucible of the "bomb squad" and the drama of each disposal doesn't work for me.

It's sort of a it should be interesting and tense but it isn't situation.

If they pick Jenny after that interview I have no idea what's going on in the world.

She even put a costume on for the process it was awful.

Jenny isn't doing well here on this interview.

Arrogance and avoidance of questions.

Enjoying #SquidGameTheChallenge but I think I liked the game sequence better in the first series.

...when someone asks you why I have ridiculously low lifestyle inflation compared to wage increases.

Let's just say coming from a post-80's pretty poor, but never starved, family creates certain spending patterns.

Reaching the point where I can see the advantage of doing work on shifted hours just so the team stream of bothersome diversions goes silent.

It's so dysfunctional.

People say what happened to the space race .

Well, financially we still have it. It's the AI race but less romantic and exciting.

K based economy.

You don't say.

Everything is going to be K based that's why it's so depressing.

Now have a tablet. They're quite cost effective - unless you buy more than you need it seems.

I predict it will be used for:

* Transfering footage
* Writing when travelling
* Media when travelling and in bed

I guess that is worth £150 with a keyboard and case .

Snazzy so far.

Sadly I shall miss the opportunity for a Wicked double bill.

Wondering when people will realise things are collapsing due to task switching, context jumping and having to go back to tasks you looked at a week ago.

Chloé Zhao is obviously fascinates with genre storytelling.

* Eternals.
* The new Buffy show.
* Launching some Anime related studio.

At some point, hopefully, this is going to be awesome.
November 11, 2025 at 8:12 AM
This is sort of funny in a dystopian way .

* AI projects fail (it lists a number)
* AI washing to say the right thing to investors
* Reversals on job losses

The performative stock market and investor loop.

This 996 work mantra is perfectly fine..

..as kind as you can be rich enough to give up work at 35 or some shit.

If it's anything else or, even worse, you're making someone else rich, you're an idiot.
