Gondul is valkyrie from Norse mythology. In the Hakonarmal, Gondul comes to choose from among the dead warriors to go to Valhalla. She tells King Hakon that Odin's army is growing stronger now that Hakon & his forces are coming to Valhalla.

Golden Hair is a character from the Russian fairytale, Golden Hair. She is the daughter of Poloz, the Great Snake, a giant magical snake creature from the Ural Mountains. Although she appears human, she is part of this magical lineage.

King Goldemar is a famous kobold in Germanic folklore who lived in Hardenstein Castle. He was invisible but could be felt & he would eat food put out for him. Because he was invisible he could spy on the royal court & the clergy & see their secret sins.

Goibniu is the metalsmith of the Tuatha Dé Danann in Irish mythology. He'a also the provider of the sacred otherworld feast, the Fled Goibhnenn, & the special ale of immortality. Goibniu is also known as Gobbán Saer (Gobbán the Joiner), legendary builder of churches.

According to the Historia Regum Britanniae, Gogmagog was the last survivor of a mythical race of giants that ruled the island of Albion (England) before the arrival of Brutus of Troy and his Trojan followers. He was slain in Cornwall by Brutus’s companion Corineus.

Goblins are now well known in the fantasy genre. The name comes from the Greek word "Kobalos," which means evil spirit. They appear in European myth as mischievous figures, but they don't emerge as their own species until the modern era. Instead goblin was more of a catch all term for evil spirits.

Gobelin/ Goguelin are aquatic fairies from French & Norse mythology. This overlap likely comes from Normandy where Norse & French culture interconnects. They haunt boats, singeing sailors' hair in their sleep, raise the anchor in a calm & tear sails, knots ropes, etc.

Glaucia (gray blue) is a naiad of the river Scamander in the Troad (north-western Anatolia). She was in a relationship with the hero Deimachus, a companion of Hercules in his campaign against the Trojans. Deimachus died in battle before the birth of their son, Scamander.

There's a 2nd Glauce in mythology, a nereid, the daughters of the 'Old Man of the Sea' Nereus and the Oceanid Doris. She personifies the color of the sea, sea-green or "bright green."

Glauce or Glauke is 1 of the Nymphae Lycaeides in Arcadia who assisted Rhea in the birth of Zeus. She is probably also associated with a specific spring. According to Pausanias, she, with the other Nymphae Lycaeides, Rhea & baby Zeus, appeared on an altar in a temple to Athena in Arcadia.

Glashtyn is a water spirit from Manx mythology. They're shapeshifters who can take horse, pig & horse man forms. They carry off anyone who try to ride them & try to drown them in nearby rivers or pools.

Glaistig/ Maighdean Uaine (green maiden) are female Scottish fairies who dress in green & haunt homes, including farms & castles. They can be very loyal, protecting children, cattle & herders on "their" farms.
