shame on Apple and Google for allowing that app on their stores
In our conservative estimate, 41 percent of Grok’s images — or 1.8 million — were sexualized depictions of women. Separately, CCDH analyzed how many were sexualized images across genders and ages. Their findings: an estimated 3 million images, including more than 23,000 of children.

What an asshat.
JD Vance: "I'm headed to Minneapolis where we're gonna talk with ICE agents and local officials about how we turn down the chaos. My simple piece of advice to them is going to be if you want to turn down the chaos in Minneapolis, stop fighting immigration enforcement."

The man is so clueless.

Nice work MAGA. See what you did to us?
The draft dodger downplays the bloop spilled for us by our allies, and ignores that they only time article 5 of NATO was ever invoked was for us after 9/11

Ugly stuff

I like the Oscars. We've watched them every year since the early 90's as a family and I still love watching.

This year I'm mostly excited for the Best Supporting Actor Oscar because I believe Jacob Eldori, who played Frankenstein's Monster, should absolutely win it!

Homeboy is old and dying.
When I asked Dr. Jonathan Reiner about Trump's chronic hand bruising he said the White House's claim that it was the result of aspirin therapy and hand shaking "is not a plausible explanation. (Particularly if he also has bruises on his left hand).”

Welp, here are visible bruises on his left hand:
Trump's *left* hand -- not the one that is usually disfigured -- now has a large bruise and is discolored

Hey baby it’s cold outside!

We’re getting ready for snowmageddon here in Charlottesville, or what folks in Toronto call Tuesday. 🥶

Leak the unredacted Epstein Files.

If it means the destruction of nations’ leadership and companies, they don’t deserve to exist if they abused children.

Enough.

Would be amazing if European leaders would also start throwing out truth bombs like this. bsky.app/profile/atru...
Carney: "American hegemony in particular helped provide public goods, a stable financial system... this bargain no longer works. Let me be direct. We are in the midst of a rupture, not a transition... recently, great powers have begun using economic integration as a weapon. Tariffs as leverage ... "

When will it get so bad someone — or multiple someone's — start targeting ICE and Second Amendment them?

It's gonna happen if they keep doing what they're doing. Sure, whoever does this is most likely going to die in the process, but it's bound to happen.

This is not surprising in the least and this man is absolutely clueless.

Sir, the someone who dropped the ball in Washington is named Donald J. Trump.
“I never thought leopards would eat MY face,”sobs woman who voted for the Leopards Eating People's Faces Party.

Farmer voted for Trump in 2024 and complains that China stopped buying American soybeans. He doesn’t know why, doesn’t blame Trump but thinks “someone in Washington dropped the ball”. 🤦🏾‍♂️

I saw a Swiftie post something like "Only Taylor can do a 10-minute song."

[large list of bands] "Hold my beer." 😂

Subscribing to The Verge was easy and worth every penny.
I keep saying what the subscription buys you is the ethics policy but maybe I need to be louder that it also buys you a 2-3 year look into the future

I want a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from MIT.

I'm the best computer scientist. I know all about bits and bytes. I'm so smart. They should just give me one but they won't for some reason.

Steven Beschloss is such an amazing writer and historian. I'd love to support him but I just can't. Not as long as he's on Substack.

I was a subscriber of his until the whole Substack Nazi thing happened. The Nilay Patel interview on Decoder was shocking. Substack founders are white supremacists.

Just a pathetic human.

I like the idea, but professional sports are in that special category of people who are left alone (usually.)
I think we are getting close to the point at which the athletes on Minnesota professional sports teams should start refusing to take the field/court/ice

Something has to be done to underscore the national emergency we are in, because I still do not think corporate media gets it

Another good reason --

We're going to make a new format out of RSS and Markdown, like podcasting is a meld of RSS and MP3.

Make sure every internet product that sends or receives text can use Markdown, in either direction.

I have an editor and feed system, and it's all Markdown at every level.
