What a fantastic idea!

Deserves a much wider audience.
If instead of fining water companies money, they were fined shares, they'd either have to do the job they've been paid for or lose the company piece by piece.
Re-nationalisation at no cost to the public.
If Thames Water can pay its "record fine" by passing the cost on to its customers, how is that a punishment?

(Presumably they'll just tack a few more quid onto every bill.)

But if Johnson wants to look at more recent laws that have been used to arrest people for their social media use, he’ll be shocked when he discovered who was in government – or even Number 10 – when they were introduced, over liberal objections.
