The dumbest part of this is the prison was shut down because of how EXPENSIVE it was to run. Between shipping supplies and constant repairs due to salt air and high winds.
Congressional Republicans don’t know how it will work — but Trump’s proposal to reopen Alcatraz is gaining some steam with them.
