I wish i could force using rebase instead of merge before a MR is merged, but it would be disabled first thing when somebody has issues with it
Knowing git good enough to do rebase -i always pays off

The recent supply chain attacks make it even more attractive to strip out unnecessary dependencies.
I do not mean no dependencies, but value to risk should be appropriate.
