We already have a pathway, but it's terribly flawed, in that it takes far too long to even get a visa. Meanwhile, innocent people who flee their countries, where they were endangered, are left feeling like they no longer have a country.
Found a few more confirming data points. In this GBAO poll 75% of Americans support a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants. 8/
