I think maybe people who are like “you shouldn’t care what others think of your art, do it for yourself!” have never received a heartfelt message complimenting their work. Because ngl that’s a big reason I keep doing music & now writing. I’m not afraid to admit that I love attention and compliments🥰

It took me a very long time to learn "do your best" does not mean "give 100% effort even at the expense of your physical or mental health" or "give A+ effort even when it is clearly not appreciated or valued". Sometimes doing your best is heating up a can of soup and going to bed early.

If I set up a Ko-Fi (or similar) with a goal $ for recording another Danmei series, would that be the easiest, least commitment platform?
I want something that has goals but does not lock ppl in to a price or membership.
