Thrilled to be part of #PlatformCon2025!

This year, I’m sharing a session titled “Strategic PlatformOps with Wardley Maps”. The talk explores the often-overlooked strategic layer of platform engineering. We’ll use Wardley Mapping to visualize the landscape of internal platforms.

It does not matter if you build an internal delivery platform for a small company or a big corporation, the principle that platform should be an enabler, not the blocker still stands.

If a team can survive an emotional and behavioral calibration of its members over time, it will become unbeatable.

First time presenting and helping host a developer event in Singapore - DeveloperXperience Summit 2025.

It was a great opportunity to connect with the local tech community and get a feel for the developer landscape here.

The discussion of technical debt should be taken seriously by development teams. Every change has the potential to add to the debt.

Like financial debt, technical debt can grow over time due to the "interest" that accumulates when it's not addressed.

If there’s no trust in the socio-technical system, delivering value takes more time than in a trust-enabled one. That's it. That's the post.

During my career, I’ve had the opportunity to examine several large codebases and observe how they evolve over time. One key conclusion I’ve drawn is that the number of deployable units doesn't matter that much.

Have you heard of shadow IT? It refers to software used by employees for work-related activities without the approval or awareness of the IT or Security department.

Shadow AI is a natural extension of it.

After visiting KubeCon and DevOpsDays Denmark this year, I’m increasingly convinced that platform engineering has turned into a serious strategic discipline.

The Adizes Corporate Lifecycle is a great way to reflect on where your company really is - not just on paper, but in behaviour, mindset, and decisions.

Gave the office a little glow-up for my Extreme Automation courses. What’s your go-to move when procrastination strikes?
May 9, 2025 at 6:10 AM
Strategy isn’t just about setting goals. It’s about understanding your current position, your desired future state, and the terrain in between.

You need to know where you are, where you’re going, and how the environment around you might help or hinder that journey.

The Single Responsibility Principle (or high cohesion design) is something I have been reflecting on lately after delivering a course on coding practices to a group of young developers.

We often introduce SRP through the lens of small functions. Do one thing. Do it only. Do it well.

There is no clear winner in any technological choice. Usually, you have a spectrum or a set of common trade-offs that you need to evaluate based on your context.

Really enjoyed my experience at DevopsDays Aarhus! I spoke about #Wardley Mapping and #Platform Engineering. Nice to meet other fellow mappers in the community!

Still processing all the insights from the #kubecon last week. Met some old friends whom I haven't seen for ages. Met friends whom I only met online before. Made some new connections.

Next year in Amsterdam?

Today is April 4th. 4/04.

The most iconic number on the internet - 404.

A universal sign that something once existed... and then lost.

Kicking off a DevSecOps workshop next week (10-11th of April) on unified security. Also known as “How to stop developers, ops, and security from blaming each other just long enough to fix things” 🙂

Arrived to #Kubecon! Looking forward to exciting four days!
April 1, 2025 at 8:34 AM
On my way to #Kubecon. If we bump into each other on the conference, ask me for a #sticker 🙂.

What a week it's going to be! I counted that 15+ talks, demos, workshops will happen on the conference at any given moment!

Is Kubernetes the best technology for your workload management? Will Kafka solve all your messaging requirements? Can PostgreSQL beat Oracle on performance? Will switching to microservices really make your system more scalable?

Well, you know the answer.

Cloud costs can be so complex and unpredictable that entire businesses and consultants (myself included) exist to help you optimize your spending.

The Iron Triangle holds true. You can't have all three. You just can't. I've tried. Multiple times. If you're building something new, something that has never existed before, you simply can't get it done quickly, cheaply, and with high quality at the same time.
