Policy Wonk, but still not allowed to have opinions. Mostly planning on talking about Dr Who
Finally, something that could persuade me to move back to the Home Counties
To put the size of London into even more perspective:

If all the cats in London moved to the countryside and founded a city...

...it would INSTANTLY be the second or third largest in the UK.

(Allowing for general fuzziness on "metropolitan areas")

Absolutely delightful to watch The War Games with @catherinepowen.bsky.social . We've reached the episode 4 cliffhanger. She is not ok...

All the answers to this have chosen isolated episodes based on what would be historically revealing. But I think I'd want the thrill of being able to watch a Whole New Story. Probably the Mythmakers (liked my one audio listen, but not massively familiar)

Indeed. There’s a weird type of person who just can’t seem to compute that some people actually just like living in cities.

Every conversation with HR, ever:

'Hello, we are having the following problems with the process...'

'Thank you for getting in touch. This is the process...'

Hold for Awayday
Quote this with your most spine-chilling three-word phrase in the English language. I bet you can't beat "replacement bus service" or "family fun day".

This time I made @catherinepowen.bsky.social watch Dimensions in Time. She still seems to be talking to me. #Doctorwho

‘Hi Letting Agent. I’d like to talk to you about a structural issue with the flat I send you a over a thousand pounds a month for…oh so sorry, obviously nothing to do with you, don’t know what I was thinking, silly me’

The number and geographical spread of people who have a strong opinion on what my local coffee shop should be is getting frankly disconcerting

The people insisting we come into the office more really failed to consider how much of my writing process is just me muttering under my breath

Nine-year old niece being introduced to Dr Who via the Eccleston era. Mixed results so far. But pleased that she finds 'lots of planets have a north' very funny.

We are now far enough from Brexit that I regularly mistake European Union for Extended Universe, rather than the other way round
