The market for apps that are basically "This existing software, but how it was 5-8 years ago" is functionally infinite at this point. Every Office app. The entire Adobe suite. It's open season.

Hell, ATP tech babble aside, 95 % of Bluesky users are here because it's Twitter with less bullshit
If there's a moral to this thread it's this:

With software you can only offer a shit service for so long before someone realizes it's very easy to provide an alternative and steal your lunch.

Considering office products haven't changed much in decades, in this case it would be relative cake.

Hi, Bluesky. Our friends from @cpsc.gov said we should join. Our memes are less unhinged but we try to be funny sometimes.

What we really want to do is make sure workers know their rights and employers understand their responsibilities — and where they can go for help with a workplace issue.

New randomized, controlled trial by the World Bank of students using GPT-4 as a tutor in Nigeria. Six weeks of after-school AI tutoring = 2 years of typical learning gains, outperforming 80% of other educational interventions.

And it helped all students, especially girls who were initially behind.

Looks like Reddit is rolling out its own GenAI. In retrospect this is entirely unsurprising

I suspect the subtext to nonsense fire accusations is that they want to start softening Newsom up now, in advance of 2028.

The Benghazi hearings started in 2014

For every mindblowing #AI video there is...a counterpoint. This is VEO 2 (SOTA by any measure), with the prompt

"A handsome mage casting powerful fireballs at a target"

You know, I've seen developers make credible claims of 100X improvement using tools like Cline, Aider, Cursor, etc. What I have NOT seen, is the flood of AA/AAA games that should surely follow. It's a weird disconnect.

If you think only billionaires can control social media, You are absolutely wrong. Social media is completely dependent on its users. Think about why you do or did use FB, ThreadsTik tok or Twitter. It's because they have enough users. Take away all the "normies" and they all are worthless

Welp, Threads is going down the Twitter path. I did enjoy it while it lasted.

5/ Move our trust and safety and content moderation teams out of California, and our US content review to Texas. This will help remove the concern that biased employees are overly censoring content.

Polls not only preempt public discourse (James Carey) but are bullshit, reflecting the predictions or prejudices of the pollsters, not the public. Damnit.
A lot of state polls show ties. Is that because of voters — or pollsters? www.nbcnews.com/politics/202...
A lot of state poll results show ties. So are they tied because of voters — or pollsters?
Analysis: Even in a close election, random chance means polls should be showing a broader range of results. That raises the question of whether we’re in for another polling surprise.

His lawyers never called witnesses.

A key prosecution witness admitted in 2021 that he lied.

The jury foreman now wants it stopped.
