two quick sketches in colour of hans and henry from kingdom come deliverance games put into Situations. in the first sketch henry is sitting on a bench with the beer mug in his hand looking kinda in the need of bath while hans is being bitchy with someone behind him saying “yes he is a dirty peasant! but he’s my dirty peasant! fuck off!”. henry is looking at hans’ hand on his shoulder, smiling. on the second one they’re just hugging, happy and content, swords crossed. yes, the metal swords.

I scanned the sketch, tinted it to sepia tones in photoshop, printed it out on watercolor paper at a slightly larger size (12x16), and got the initial washes of color down. I did color tests in photoshop so I knew how to approach the tones. This is about an hour's worth of painting so far, I think?

There's some circular celtic knotwork designs on the borders. The overall colors are warm golds and browns.
