Maybe I just need to rewatch but in the movie I still got the vibe that Glinda was only interested in Fiyero because of his status and how the aspects of his life complemented hers. There are moments where she kind of vies for his attention, but she her interest always struck me as very superficial
On stage I always get the vibe Glinda isn’t really interested in *Fiyero* so much as signifiers of success, popularity, and normalcy— what he represents— whereas Elphaba is very much into him. Complete reversal in the movie. Genuinely respect how little it tries to sell you in Elphaba liking him
