Muslim. INFJ. Trying to make the most of the short amount of time we’ve been blessed with.

One of my favorite poems.
Inshallah, one day I become a father and can teach my kids that with patience and faith in Allah, they can work through almost anything. Very rarely is something the end of the world. This sense of calm is something I strive to instill in myself so I can pass it down to them.

The body is a gift from Allah but we don’t treat it like one. Learn about the human body and you will see how to properly nourish it. The insistence to treat it like a machine will only lead to problems. Hence the rates of chronic illness and disease that are now widespread in the modern world.

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله , said:

"No one remembers Allah during difficulty except that Allah makes it easy for him,

Nor during a time of hardship except that Allah gives him ease,

Nor during a hard time except that He lightens it for him."

We’ve become lost in an endless cycle of distractions and false hopes. We desire what they want us to and lose sight of what is real and everlasting.

It's important to realize that the sense of curiosity and adventure that one has in their youth does not last. The emphasis on test scores over the development of the mind and soul is crushing to the spirit. By the time you get out of the school system, you have little time to explore.

This life is a short journey. It's okay to slow down and smell the flowers. Enjoy the blessings you have been given but don't forget the ultimate destination. The world constantly tells you to move faster and accumulate more but doesn't tell you when to stop.

The peace you get from implementing the daily habit of reciting your morning and evening Adhkar is like no other. Alhamdulillah.

The Apple Vision Pro and things of that nature are going to make the real world seem more unappealing. Imagine being a kid growing up with that kind of tech. All your friends can hop on together and be inside a perfect virtual world. It will be incredibly addictive.

Though our impact on the world may be modest, it's comforting to remember that Allah never forgets our good deeds, no matter how small.

I’ve been thinking about this for a while but deeply understanding yourself before marriage is so important. Both the good and the bad. At the same time putting in the work to deeply understand your spouse after marriage is crucial. Looking into thinking patterns, love languages, temperament, etc.

Life changes when you embrace the simple. Reject the pull to become nothing more than a consumer in the machine.
