Most drivers buy used cars, but far fewer buy used EVs. We will be joined by Marc Palmer (Autotrader) and Thomas McLennan (BVRLA) to understand what is holding people back and what needs to change to make the second-hand EV market work for everyday drivers.
While 80-90% of drivers buy used cars, less than 25% of EV drivers do as cost, questions around battery health, vehicle range, warranties and resale value affect confidence.
Two-thirds of drivers responding to our survey believe upfront cost still presents the biggest barrier to owning an EV, and access to affordable EVs remains a challenge for many.
We will be joined by Eloise Sacares and Jon Stenning to unpack new research carried out by Cambridge Econometrics on behalf of T&E and EVA England, exploring how access to EVs for lower and middle-income families could be improved.
