"Did I say you could stop?" Namjoon asked calmly, straightening his cuffs. "You're joking." Jimin balked. "Did I stutter?" Jimin's face was nearly plastered to the tinted window as the car pulled out, watching security drag the sasaeng away, "You just body checked someone into the pavement-" "That's my job." "And you want me to keep doing vocal cool downs ?? " "That's also my job," Namjoon replied, opening the seat console for water. "Absolutely not! You're out of your mind!" Jimin seethed. Here we go. That spite that made every other vocal coach quit, if he didn't fire them first. Unfortunately for Jimin, he didn't have the power to do that to independent security. Tough luck. "I just did two full hours of 'slides' to a sold-out stadium! I'm done!" If the other instructors had some patience, they would have figured out what Namjoon did. Jimin wasn't being obnoxious. He was bad at self-regulation. "What's really wrong?" The fury went out of Jimin's face, and he pursed his lip

"I'm gonna be out," Yoongi called, carefully stashing his wallet and cell phone in his closet. He couldn't take them and didn't want any awkward questions about why he kept going out all night and leaving them. "Again?" his roommate called back from his own room, though from the tone, Taehyung was at least half distracted by something. That was good. "Weren't we going to watch kpop demon hunters?" Yoongi got to the kitchen in time to catch the kettle just before it boiled. Right on the edge of making its shrill cry. "That's tomorrow," he replied, dropping a tea bag into a mug, then pouring the water over it. "Oh." Suddenly, Yoongi heard his phone go off. Had he seriously forgotten to put it on mute? He darted immediately for his room, digging it out as fast as possible to silence it immediately. Then there was the crash of ceramic, a pitiful wail, and Yoongi knew he'd just made an even worse mistake. Returning to the kitchen, he found a shattered mug, tea and clothes spilt all over the floor and a very baffled black cat. Yoongi let out a low groan, "Taehyung, do you have to touch everything?" The cat gave a short meow and was clearly startled by the sound. Backing up like he could get away from it. Yoongi grimaced, looking at the mess. "You didn't drink a lot, did you?" Taehyung flopped down onto his side, yowling like the world was ending. "Still dramatic." Yoongi sighed with a soft smile, gathering him up into his arms without thinking. "You're fine. It will wear off soon. An hour or-" the cat snuggled into his chest, fluffy and warm, rubbing his head up against his neck. Unmistakenly purring his heart out. Yoongi felt his face go red and coughed awkwardly. "Let's go watch that movie."

"I already have you on fraud." Namjoon snapped at the man across the small, minimalist table from him, "What now? Money laundering?" Hoseok raised an eyebrow. It was always infuriating how he could sit there stoically with his heart-shaped lips turned up in a smug smile. No matter how many times they ended up at this same table, having the same argument. "I'd love to see you prove it with those useless investigation licenses." Namjoon slammed his hand on the table, leaning in close, pointing his cigarette at him. "I don't have to! I have all the case notes, and I'm not stupid. It's only going to take one phone call to get the rest." That got him. Hoseok came up from where he sat so forcefully that it rattled a full glass precariously close to the edge of the table, stopping inches from his face. "You're not a cop! You can't do shit!" "You listen-" The door to the bathroom swung open, and they both stopped dead. Jimin padded out, walking toward the bedroom. One towel around his waist, the other rubbing his hair. He stopped beside them and pointedly moved the soda cup to a much safer place. "Jung Hoseok, if you fuck up the hardwood floor, I'm going to fuck you into it." He snatched the cigarette from Namjoon's fingers and dropped it straight into the glass, "No smoking in the house." With a dismissive sigh, he continued on his way, only pausing to grab a pack of gum from next to the couch and toss it onto the coffee table in front of Namjoon. They stared after him. Watching the towel barely hanging off his hips swing until he disappeared down the hall. Hoseok glanced at Namjoon, who returned the look with a sideways smile. "Is this the part where we talk about how hot our boyfriend is and make out?” "Yeah."

The Sword of The King. That's what the kingdom called Jung Hoseok. Some in the far reaches didn't know his true name. What everyone did know, was that the title was given to him by the King, and it was deserved. The King was unstoppable, and Hoseok was his greatest weapon. He struck down every enemy. He commanded the army in perfect defence. When he arrived on any battlefield, everyone knew it was because the King was wielding him like a blade. Even now, in the middle of a ball held in honour of their latest victory, he was unflinchingly at the ruler's side. No one questioned it when his hand came to rest on the back of the King's neck. "My Sword," he hummed, pretending to be interested in the party. Hoseok smiled, leaning in to whisper in his ear, "Yoongi," The shiver that passed through the ruler made him chuckle. "I'd like my sheath." "Of course, my Sword."

Yoongi is having a very strange day.
It always bothered Yoongi that there was no double bar at the end of the song. His grandfather had been a renowned composer. Musical talent ran in the family. A gift. That's why it annoyed him that these six pages of yellowed paper sat in the piano bench, apparently unfinished. He was convinced this wasn't true. He'd heard and written enough to know that the note felt final. The melody had a clear stop. It was a stunning piece of music. He'd often thought of recording it. But, finishing another play through of it, he scowled. Then his lips turned up in a catlike grin, picking up a pencil. Who would care? He added the two strokes at the end of the bar. Hot arms wrapped around his waist, a broad chest closing over his back. He almost screamed until black nails brushed his nipple through his shirt, and it got stuck in his throat. A heated breath traced his ear, "Finally," came the gravelled voice, "You finished it," "What the hell do you think you're doing ?? " Yoongi gasped as the lips turned their attention to nipping his neck. "Taking what's owed to me. That was the deal. When you finish writing the song- you belong to me." "I didn't write it," Yoongi managed, gesturing wildly at the aged paper, "My grandfather did!" The being was quiet for a long time before abruptly pulling away. Yoongi whipped around to finally get a look at the man behind him. Tall and fit with sharp draconic eyes. The way his tight embarrassed smile made dimples pop took the edge off seeing the barest hint of fangs. "This is awkward," the (demon? devil?) mumbled. Yoongi blinked for a moment, looking him over, before shrugging, "Only if you stop."
