My first time in the Swiss city of Winterthur, famed for being one of the locations in season 9 of YouTube show Jet Lag the Game.
But no time to hide in the woods - it’s 10:30am and I need to be on the other side of the country in 3 hours, so I’ve got to go go go…

Ah, Rome. The eternal city. So of course I’ve ignored the colosseum, Trevi fountain and Sistine Chapel and gone straight to the athletics stadium for the first European Diamond League meet of the year 🤓

Reading Amiga Power magazine in the 1990s was my number one inspiration for wanting to get into the games industry, and J Nash was my favourite writer. I shall raise a glass of F-Max in his honour.
Just heard that comedy writer, classic games journalist and genuine one-off, J Nash has died. I'd never met anyone like him when I first sat across a bar from him. 3 decades later, I still haven't. There's no-one else like him, and now there's not even him. Hugely sad and a huge loss.

The influx of people here the past few days brings back pleasant memories of that week in early 2009 where much of the UK was stuck at home due to snow, and seemingly everyone in Britain decided to join Twitter simultaneously to make random whimsical small talk and dad jokes.
