I am so excited to share that in September I will be starting a PhD at the The University of Edinburgh/Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh through the E5 DTP. The work will focus on the traits, ecology and evolution of geoxyles across continents and will be supervised by @jess-rickenback.bsky.social!

Audibly gasped when I saw these charming little drawings in Melbourne, a little bit of storage organ representation, feels very reminiscent of the drawings often seen on @exfumo.bsky.social socials!

Just a quick post to wish everyone a happy holiday season (Meri Kirihimete!), and wonderful things for 2025.

Thanks for all of your support this year with my macro and SciComm - life has thrown me some lovely ups & some significant downs this year, but we look ever forwards not backwards! Cheers!

If you are at the @britishecolsoc.bsky.social conference next week come say hi! I will be presenting a poster (A5.2) all about some #functionality and #trait work, in preparation for the new EHU drought shelters. Plus, as an honarary scouser (Liverpudlian partner) I know all the best spots in town!
