i have officially entered the headless chicken mode of christmas prep
i finished 10 things that never happened earlier and alexis hall’s writing always cracks me up
the audiobook was fab too, loved the scouser accent
not sure i’m totally on board with the premise but i had a great time reading it so gave it 4 stars anyways

i wasn’t the biggest fan of those who wait (dragged on too much for me and the side characters felt like NPCs)

This is a reminder that it's entirely possible to have some positive memories of a relationship or person that was ultimately abusive & you want to leave in the past.
Positive memories or feelings are not "evidence" that "it wasn't that bad" or wasn't abuse.

bookclub meeting is in 48hs and i’m 2% of the way into the book which normally wouldn’t be an issues but i haven’t finished a book in weeks after reading 72 books in 4 months i fear i may have flown too close to the sun and now the bookslump is my punishments
