Scientists from the University of Groningen and the ESRF have demonstrated how a protective polymer coating can overcome obstacles that make high-energy-density #batteries not available commercially yet.

Iridium keeps its crystal structure intact under extreme conditions found in planetary interiors, scientists have discovered using synchrotron x-ray diffraction at the ESRF.
