Good (climate) policy for the many needs deliberative lottery based direct democracy by the many. Hierarchy and concentration of power hinders good policy results.
Im aktuellen KSG findet sich kein Klimarat der Bürgerinnen mehr, der den Weg zur KN 2040 beschreiben sollte. Es findet sich auch keine KN 2040 mehr in dem KSG-Vorschlag des BMLUK. Aber scheinbar übersehen gibt es auf der homepage noch einen Klimaplan 2040. Wie lange? www.bmluk.gv.at/dam/jcr:8192...

#China baut in schnellem Tempo neue #Kohlekraftwerke und hat im 1. Halbjahr so viel neue Kohlekraftwerke ans Netz angeschlossen wie lange nicht - stimmt. Aber die Stromerzeugung aus Kohle ist gesunken! In absoluten Zahlen, nicht nur prozentual.

#China baut in schnellem Tempo neue #Kohlekraftwerke und hat im 1. Halbjahr so viel neue Kohlekraftwerke ans Netz angeschlossen wie lange nicht - stimmt. Aber die Stromerzeugung aus Kohle ist gesunken! In absoluten Zahlen, nicht nur prozentual.

At the same time growing evidence of extreme weather events caused by high emissions and lowering EU climate ambition in 2040 goal. But still worse in the USA. People instead of governments would be more ambitious as EUC polls show.
Important postscript on our recent study: We can confirm now that the recent heat domes over North America & Europe were part of a resonant "wave 7" hemispheric pattern that emerged in mid June, persisting through most recent data [analysis by @xuekeli.bsky.social]
