Wishing blessings upon blessings to Juan Leon, the owner of Leo's Towing.

The tow truck company has been returning abandoned vehicles to families for free after ICE arrests, despite death threats.

I know it's fashionable to dismiss and mock protests like pink hats and polka dot dresses that women wear (it's always women who get mocked, especially by other women) but that's a huge mistake, as this story shows. No form of protest is too small. The oppressors know this. We should know that too.
the knitters too. this is the top pattern on ravelry right now

Lola Heatherton's especially special Christmas special. Sharing this even though - or especially because - I'm heartbroken.

The video of Stücke explaining the project is lovely.
One out of 12 rams is uninterested in females. Deemed “non-procreative" by farmers, they're typically sent to slaughter. German farmer Michael Stücke rescues the gay rams. His company Rainbow Wool, sells fabulous wool products from his flock of gay sheep. rainbow-wool.com

Having an automatic recount of every paper ballot in the country (e.g. all of PA uses machines that use paper ballots - not receipts) would go some way towards securing the elections in 2026.
Murphy: "As their agenda becomes more unpopular, they then become more dependent on trying to rig out democracy and rig the next election, bc nobody is gonna vote these guys back in ... You gotta connect the dots here. What they are trying to do is rationalize violence."

If I ran a show, my starting point would be that every actor on the screen is Black and we'd have to have very good reasons - role by role - to change that. I am so sick of white being the default.
Remember DEI? More than 9 in 10 streaming shows are created by white people. Nearly 8 in 10 by men.

And the actors? 80% of all on-screen roles go to whites…

“Despite minority households and female audiences driving viewerships for top series”

Muting a Black woman to claim the vote was unanimous is so incredibly on the nose
The White House claims the vote to rename the Kennedy Center was “unanimous.” That is false. I was muted on the call and denied the opportunity to speak or register my opposition. That is not consensus. That is censorship.

The USA is a lowkey war zone and places like schools, malls, and movie theaters are outposts that need to be fortified.
Trump on Brown University: You would really have to ask the school about that because this was a school problem. They had their own guards, their own police, their own everything but you would have to ask that question to the school and not to the FBI.

I can hear future high school students asking: "They couldn't find four GOP members of the House to switch parties?"
Republican leaders on Capitol Hill are moving decisively away from extending key Obamacare tax credits that help more than 20 million Americans pay for health insurance — following direct cues from Trump while also stoking ire among many in the GOP who fear severe political repercussions.
GOP moves to let Obamacare subsidies expire as Trump promises ‘money to the people’
As the president rails against insurance companies, other Republicans say allowing a subsidy lapse is “not acceptable.”
