My lil reply piece was recently accepted! In it, I argue that May's (2023) discussion of deep brain stimulation (DBS) fails to account for the added complexities and potential ethical harms of DBS for psychiatric conditions (as opposed to neurological conditions). philpapers.org/rec/EVADBS
